Our Mission

GetWorkKin™ is a skills-first employment platform designed to help skilled trade workers and employers connect faster—without resumes, long applications, or sorting through unqualified applicants.

What GetWorkKin Does

The platform focuses on real skills, readiness to work, and reliability—reducing friction between training, hiring, and placement through:

GetWorkKin™ is not a job board or an applicant tracking system. It is a targeted matching and discovery tool designed to support practical hiring decisions in the trades.

Built for Skilled Trades

GetWorkKin™ is built specifically for skilled trades, including construction, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, welding, and related hands-on occupations.

Partnership Model

We partner with Virginia community colleges and workforce programs to support graduate placement outcomes and grant compliance reporting—helping institutions demonstrate measurable impact while workers find quality employment.

Our Founder

Shanell Guardo founded GetWorkKin after extensive research with skilled trades workers and employers across Virginia.

Through dozens of interviews, Shanell identified a critical gap: no platform exists to help credentialed trades workers demonstrate their skills-first value to employers.

GetWorkKin was built specifically to bridge this gap, partnering with workforce development programs to support placement outcomes for skilled trades graduates.

Mission-Driven Technology

GetWorkKin is a product of KinTech, LLC—an impact-driven technology company focused on practical systems that improve access and outcomes in workforce development.

We believe technology should remove barriers to economic participation, not just add convenience. Every feature we build is designed to create measurable impact for workers, employers, and workforce programs.
